President's Charity Afternoon - Wed 18th November (from 1pm) Please join us as we raise money for Margaret Shillitto's charity the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Bowls will commence at 2pm, there will also be a faffle, treasure hunt, spider and more. The sign up sheet for this event is being maintained in the restaurant area - please support this incredibly worthwhile event.
John Warman – Celebration of Life Following discussions with various members, as John did not have a traditional funeral, we are hosting a get together at the Club in order to celebrate John’s life and all that he has done for the Club over the years. Please join us on Wednesday 11th November from 2pm and raise a glass to John.
Outdoor Season Update Disc Games - Sadly the winners were not announced in time for presentation at the AGM, nonetheless congratulations to our 2026 winners, John Martin (Lionel Clarke Monday disc) and Helen McBride (Newman Norman Wednesday mixed disc). Final results tables are below. Part of the delay is attributed to incomplete scorecards - Wednesday games are particularly bad for this - one example is below and remains a mystery as to who actually played!
Summer Leagues 2027 A new list will be put up on the Outdoor noticeboard in due course. If you would like to play in either the Tuesday Triples League (mixed) or the Friday Men’s League, add your name and contact details to the list. New teams are very welcome if there is sufficient interest and can be accommodated in either league.
