Bowls for Beginners Singles Competition

32 new bowlers (no bowling experience prior to the 1^st of May 2023) took part in this year’s competition on Saturday the 15^th of March.

They play 3 difference disciplines of 4 ends duration using 3 bowls:-

• 15-10-5 (variation on the 4-3-2-1 concept)
• Long/medium/short jack
• Singles

The top four players with the highest accumulated scores played in the 4-end semi-finals:-

• Martin Sanderson    vs     Mike Bunker
• Terence Doyle           vs     Dean Johnson

with Mike and Dean going through to the final, which was won by Dean Johnson who regained the trophy he won in 2024.

The trophies were presented by Captain, and sponsor, Steve Kerley.
