Outdoor Roll-Up Rules
We are pleased to see these sessions are gaining in popularity each week, therefore we are expanding the possibilities for roll-ups:
To clarify, any roll-up MUST still be pre-booked with Ed in the Office who will allocate rinks accordingly each day.
- Pairs play now available
o 90 minute sessions, starting on the hour – the finishing time of half past the hour is aimed at easing congestion with more people rolling up
o Ed does not necessarily need all the names of players, but does need to know whether a booking is Singles or Pairs
- For Singles or Solo play, all rinks can now be used at busy times
o Where possible, a spare rink will still be maintained between rinks, however with singles it is deemed safe to play on adjacent rinks. If anyone is particularly concerned they can specifically request an end rink.
o The expansion to pairs play with longer session times means less overall sessions, so this decision is deemed necessary.
- Spectating is allowed
o Those coming just to watch must ensure they sit along the sides of the rinks, not the ends, so as they are not in anybody’s way when players leave the rinks.
The lack of dress code will continue for the time being, as will the allowance of food and drink to be brought into the Club. All other pre-existing rules still apply, including perhaps the most important one; all equipment MUST be disinfected following play.
The possibility of opening on weekends is now being strongly considered, however further discussion with the Club’s keyholders is ongoing to see if this is feasible.
A reminder that Club Competition forms are available now from the Club Office or website.
We appreciate your co-operation with everything and hope you are enjoying the return to bowling!
