Our next Courses are being held on 22/23 April AND 30 Apr/1 May.
Merry Christmas to all of our Members and Friends of the Club.
We wish you a Happy 2020 also!
Heres hoping for another succesful year for ECBC.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Club President Richard Shillitto.
Richard was in peace surrounded by his family.
Richard had been a full member here for many years and played at the highest levels throughout, culminating in winning our Outdoor Club Championship in 2007, along with being a mainstay in the Club's top County and National teams. He was also Club Champion at multiple other clubs before joining Essex County and played for well over 30 years in total.
As you can see, Richard leaves quite a legacy in bowls and in the Club, but perhaps the longest lasting gift to the bowling world would be his catchphrase "ONLY BRILLIANT" which has been adopted by countless players in the local area!
Richard's wife Margaret has urged members to recall all of the good times shared over the years - Richard was delighted and honoured to be our President.
Richard's funeral will take place on Friday 15th November at 10:40am at Southend Crematorium's West Chapel.
The Wake will take place immediately after here at Essex County Bowling Club, all welcome.
Family flowers only please, any donations to Cancer Research or the Special Care Baby Unit at Southend University Hospital would be gratefully received.
Congratulations to our very own Edward Morris - National Singles Champion 2019
