Club Opening – 1st June – Outdoor Only
Taking recent advice from the government and our governing body Bowls England that “All outdoor sports and physical activities are permitted. All must be done alone or, providing you are following social distancing guidelines, with one person from outside your household” we would like to lay out the following provisional plan for the Club reopening:
From the 1st June we will be open for roll ups only and at a maximum of 2 per rink.
This is only between the hours of 10am-8pm Monday-Friday. At all other times the Club will be CLOSED. We are looking into opening up the hours at further times, especially weekends, but this is dependent on volunteers.
ALL roll ups must be pre-booked via the Club Office and will be given a 1 hour time slot.
For everyone’s safety only those members booking a roll-up slot will be admitted, we cannot accommodate members who wish to attend the Club for any other reason.
The Clubhouse, Indoor Arena, Bar and Kitchen will remain closed.
All roll ups will strictly conform to social distancing regulations and there will be absolutely no socializing – to stress, we are opening for roll ups only, as we know members are missing the game and physical activity is especially important at this time.
The Outdoor subscription fee has been set to a small/nominal amount this year to reflect the lack of usual bowling activities. The charge is £25, which must be paid prior to any roll ups.
Renewal notices will be e-mailed to you on this occasion.
You may only collect the Outdoor handbook when you attend the Club for a roll-up. Please bear in mind most of the fixtures have now been cancelled.
We are certain members will understand that we have to be very careful how we manage this situation. Our responsibility to our members is paramount. Every effort will be made to create a safe environment, including but not limited to the daily sterilizing of equipment, surfaces etc.
Please continue to check the government's website for personal guidelines.
If you do roll up here not only is it at your own risk but also the risk of others. If you are showing any signs of ill health whatsoever please do not come to the Club for any reason.
