Message from Tina Spriggs…
After a great deal of deliberation I have requested the Management Committee to rescind my recent resignation.
My reasons for doing this are as follows:
I have been both surprised and overwhelmed by the amount of support I received since stepping down from the role last month. It has made me think seriously as to how I could re-engage with this role to better effect.
Currently we are almost through my list of projects and given our current circumstances I do not envisage tackling anything with a big spend value for quite some time. This means I am now under less time pressure which certainly helps.
The Management Committee have given me their support and so I will now be operating as Club Secretary once again.
I would like to say a very big THANK YOU to all of those members that contacted me it was extremely heart-warming and made a very big difference.
You may have already seen that we have sadly taken the decision to cancel both President’s Day (23rd August) and the Mark Wilson Pairs (29/30 August). In the current climate it was thought in everyone’s best interests to do so. However…
Tuesday Morning Triples League
The Outdoor Committee have arranged a ‘mini’ league from now until the end of the season, with the opening fixtures taking place this week. We hope those playing will enjoy something slightly different to compete in!
Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who replied to the recent members survey – we had a great response and it massively helped the sub-Committee in making their decisions. There are Indoor and Management Committee meetings in the coming days where everything will be finalised, with communication to all members to follow, so watch this space! We hope you will support the decisions made which were certainly not easy to come to.
Please continue to periodically check the Club website, all minor news items will be placed on there, as well as recent meeting minutes, Club competition updates etc.
