Brian had been a full member of the Club for many years. As well as simply being a great Club man, he was also a very successful competitive player, including amassing a great CV of Club titles - cluminating in winning the Late Summer Pairs just last year whilst battling his long-term illness, a great achievement indeed.
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown in place, Brian's funeral will be held in compliance with government regulations, however a celebration of his life is already being planned for later in the year.
We are sad to report the death of long-time Outdoor Member Peter.
Peter was a member here for many years. He also regularly hosted Masonic bowls matches at the Club.
Peter's funeral was held on 24th April.
Audrey was an Indoor member here for many years up until the start of this season where she was sadly unable to bowl.
Audrey's funeral will take place on Wednesday 20th May. Sadly immediate family only can attend due to the current situation.
It is with much sadness that we report the death of longtime indoor member Mick Ager, who recently passed away following a long battle with cancer. Mick was also an outdoor member of Rochford Bowling Club and Shoebury Park prior to that. The funeral took place on May 19th.
Barry sadly died in early June after battling cancer for some time, he was a regular indoor member at ECBC for a number of years and also a long time member of South Benfleet & Canvey Bowling Club.
Ron sadly passed away on 23rd June. He was, until moving from the area, a long serving member of bothEssex County IBC and South Benfleet & Canvey BC. Ron was a very good supporter of the leagues & friendlies and is remembered fondly by those who knew him.
Ken was a long-time Social member of the Club. Many of our members will know him for attending every day, having his IPA and watching the morning news. He always had a cheery nature and was very approachable for a chat at any time.
In compliance with government guidelines concerning gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ken's funeral will be attended by immediate family only. In order that all members of the Club can participate in the proceedings, the service will be webcast. Details as follows:

Clive's funeral will be held on Thursday 21st May at 9:30am, sadly due to lockdown restrictions this will be strictly family only.
