Indoor Club Competitions 2021/22
Braithwaite / 4321 Pairs Update
After receiving many requests and enquiries from fellow bowlers I have decided to make the following changes to the playing schedule of both the 4321 pairs due to be played on Sunday 19th December 2021 and the Braithwaite Pairs due to be played on the 8th January 2022.
Reasons for change include entering the competition (Covid issue) two years ago (and not on the new 2021 22 form)and not knowing there were play on dates, being too near Christmas, the general Covid situation.
In respect of the Braithwaite Pairs on 8th January 2022 , as 16 to 18 of our bowlers are still involved in the Denny Cup and as a consequence of the distance of travel and time required for this game etc many bowlers will be unable to fulfil the fixture at the appointed time and date.
Therefore, those bowlers that wish to play the 4321 this Sunday at their appointed time can do and do not need to make any changes to the scheduling. Those that cannot or would prefer not to play this weekend will now have an extension to play by the 30th January 2022 and the challenger in each competitive game will have to offer dates of play to their opponents as normal. Those that are unable to play on Sunday 19th December for whatever reason, therefore, must advise their opponents ASAP on receipt of this email.
Similarly, with the games in the Braithwaite Pairs on Saturday 8th January, if any pairing has a player involved in the Denny Cup then they can change the date of play and again the challenger in each competitive game will have to offer dates of play to their opponents as normal and play will be by 30th January. . Those that are unable to play on Saturday 8th January if involved in the Denny Cup or a reserve, therefore, must advise their opponents in the next on receipt of this email.
